Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle is reportedly set to make some tactical tweaks to his side in the upcoming Unity Cup, which will take place in London later this month.
According to Owngoalnigeria, the Malian tactician is planning to test players in new positions to provide the Super Eagles with better balance for executing his tactical ideas.
Eric Chelle began his tenure as Nigeria's head coach with an impressive 2-0 victory over Rwanda in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers in Kigali before settling for a disappointing 1-1 draw against Zimbabwe.
As Nigeria prepares to face archrivals Ghana in the Unity Cup at the Gtech Community Stadium—before going up against either Jamaica or Trinidad and Tobago in the final or third-place match—reports indicate that Chelle is set to make some changes to the team.
The squad list is expected to feature a mix of foreign-based players and those from the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL).
According to Owngoalnigeria, one player set to make the squad is Getafe midfielder Christiantus Uche.
