'He's partially better than Buhari' - Reactions as President Tinubu addresses Nation today

President of Nigeria Bola Ahmed Tinubu is said to address the nation on Monday, July 31, 2023.

The Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties, Communications, and Strategy, Mr. Dele Alake, made this known in a statement.

The Nigerian Television Authority and Radio Nigeria would broadcast the program.

The President may discuss important challenges that the country is now facing, such as palliatives to lessen the impact of the termination of fuel subsidies, exchange rate policies, and other measures.

Since the Democracy Day Address on June 12, 2023, this is the President's first broadcast to Nigerians.

Many people have expressed their opinions on social media in the wake of the news. Some have argued that the President should be given the chance to demonstrate that he deserves to lead the nation, comparing him to former president Muhammadu Buhari and asserting that Tinubu is far more better than Buhari because he never addressed the country.

Others have criticized the President for various decisions he made after taking office, saying that while he would explain them, they wouldn't affect the nation.
