Presidential spokesperson, Daniel Bwala, has said former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, can go ahead with public disclosure of what they discussed when he dumped the camp of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
Amaechi is the Vice Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, serving as Atiku's running mate in the party.
MyNigeria recalls that after the 2023 presidential election won by President Bola Tinubu against Atiku, report emerged of Bwala's exit from Atiku's camp. Reasons for his exit were not disclosed.
However, Amaechi, on Channels TV on Tuesday, revealed that he and Bwala had a discussion during the latter's exit from Atiku's camp.
When pressed for details of their discussion, Amaechi stated that he was not going to disclose whatever he had against Bwala as a result of the discussion.
“The only thing I am seeing with Tinubu’s government today, he and his people… Bwala should not forget what he told me when I called him. I called Bwala when he left Atiku. I know what he told me,” Amaechi said.
“He knows. I will not tell Nigerians. Let him confront me. I guess Bwala spoke to me in confidence, so let me keep that confidence.”
Reacting, Bwala slammed the ADC VP candidate and gave him permission to publicly disclose their discussion.
He shared on X, "@ChibuikeRotimi1, My attention was drawn to an interview wherein you said when I left Alhaji Atiku Abubabakr, you called me and I told you something which you refused to tell @seunokin because you claimed it was confidential. I Daniel Bwala hereby give you the permission to please tell the whole world.
"You were asked questions to reply our capacity minister @GovWike and you deflected by calling Bwala and lying about what you claimed I said. Let me re-echo the words of the indefatigable Nyesom Wike that ‘Rivers is for Asiwaju and I add, you are a paper weight compared to Wike."
