A section of social media users have taken General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye to the cleaners after he prophesied that Nigeria would experience glorious days again when the naira was more valuable than the US dollars.
Pastor Adeboye made the comment in his sermon on Sunday, September 3 during the September Thanksgiving Service of the church at the RCCG, National Headquarters, Ebute Metta, Lagos.
He, then, mentioned that the Nigerian naira was stronger than the dollar and had more purchasing power than now, and prayed that such glorious days would return.
His comment was met with disappointment from social media users who believed the economy could also be stable when things are done right.
“When the naira was stronger than the dollar. Don’t worry, those days will return,” Adeboye said.
“Maybe when that happens, you will know that there is a God of miracles,” he added.
Focus on teaching and preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Stop trying to launder APC's image

Oga, face the Gospel. Leave the economy and partisan politics for politicians except you’re one. Economy is not religion.

While we pray for miracles, daddy GO should help pray to God to give wisdom to our leaders to build infrastructures, empower small businesses and increase our export.

Only then can God bless the work of our hands.
You can’t speak to a currency to be valuable sha, you’ve got to do the right things. Money hardly answer to prophecy
