First photo of Atiku, Okowa after 2023 election defeat generates reactions

A photo of Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and his running mate, former Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, has generated some reactions.

The duo contested the 2023 elections but lost to the All Progressives Congress (APC) flagbearers, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kassim Shettima.

Atiku Abubakar, a former Vice President, shared the photo on his Instagram page with the caption: "It is always a pleasure hosting the former Governor of Delta and my Vice Presidential candidate in the 2023 election."

This is the first time both men have been seen publicly since the general elections.

The party was rocked with a crisis before the polls, and many believe it contributed to its defeat in the elections.

The most significant was one posed by the Integrity Group led by former Rivers State Governor and Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike.
