Davido fires off cryptic warnings as Burna Boy faces heat over viral US concert drama

Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has stirred social media after posting a series of fiery messages seemingly aimed at his critics.

Taking to X, Davido unleashed a string of cryptic but powerful warnings. In one post, he wrote:

“Dey fool yourself… my head go soon catch you 😂… everybody go collect from my God.”

He followed it up by resharing an old 2024 tweet, doubling down on the same message:

“Anybody wey do me bad go collect this year one by one… just dey watch. E don start already 😂.”

Davido’s posts sparked intense conversation online, especially as they arrived at the peak of Burna Boy’s current controversy.

Earlier, a video had gone viral from Burna Boy’s US concert showing him halting his performance to call out a woman in the front row who appeared to be sleeping. The woman was later escorted out, reigniting long-standing criticism of the singer.

That backlash escalated further when an older clip resurfaced of Burna Boy saying he prefers “rich fans” and does not beg anyone to support him.

Against this backdrop, Davido’s cryptic “everybody go collect” posts have only intensified speculation about whom the messages were truly targeting.
