Grammy-winning artiste, Damini Ogulu, well known as Burna Boy’s "No Sign of Weakness Tour" appears to have hit an unexpected slowdown, as reports indicate that at least five arena dates in the United States have been quietly scrapped following a noticeable decline in ticket sales.
The development comes on the heels of a viral controversy that has placed the Grammy-winning artiste under renewed scrutiny.
A recent video from one of his US shows showed Burna Boy halting his performance mid-act to confront a woman seated in the front row who seemed to be sleeping.
The moment, captured by fans, showed the singer calling out the woman before her boyfriend escorted her out of the venue.
Following the viral clip, an older video resurfaced in which Burna Boy declared that he prefers “rich fans” and doesn’t beg people to support him.
With global concert ticket prices already soaring, the resurfaced remarks stirred heated online debates and sparked accusations of insensitivity.
Although sources insist the cancellations were due to slumping ticket demand, many observers believe the viral incidents may have amplified public backlash, contributing to waning interest in the tour’s remaining dates.
