Critics fire Atiku for meeting Jonathan after he campaigned against him in 2015

Nigerians have been reacting to a recent visit by the flagbearers of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar and Ifeanyi Okowa to the residence of former President, Goodluck Jonathan.

The visit happened on Thursday, November 17 according to a social media post by Okowa on Friday, November 18.

Okowa disclosed that the meeting bordered on how the party can recover Nigeria from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

He wrote, “Last night, alongside our Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, we had a great meeting with our former President, H.E. Goodluck Jonathan. There, we discussed our plans to #RecoverNigeria with His Excellency”.

Daily Post reports that there has been speculation that Goodluck Jonathan has been asked to dialogue with aggrieved members of the party who have insisted on the resignation of the PDP national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.
