Controversial political commentator Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, listing what he believes are Tinubu's achievements as he nears his first year in office.

Charly Boy, a staunch supporter of the Labour Party and its presidential candidate Peter Gregory Obi, had accused the current administration of its lackluster performance and worsening the plight of Nigerians.

In a social media post on Tuesday, May 21, he named the failures of President Tinubu and his administration.

High up the list is Fly Emirates suspending its operations in Nigeria because it couldn't meet the operation costs or maintain the commercial viability of operations in Nigeria as the government does not release trapped funds.

He said, "nearly brought Emirates back to Nigeria 3 times, nearly attracted Affrexim bank loan, nearly sealed Dutch million dollar investment, appointed his ministers, discussed with some white men, moved FAAN to Lagos, didn’t meddle in Wike-Fubara battle, almost allocated N5 billion for student loans, allocated N90 billion for the 2024 Hajj, nearly started a war with Niger, moved CBN to Lagos, took 1410 people to UAE for a summit, approved a road from VI to EPE for 1 trillion, and almost started the PH refinery."

He continued, "almost won AFCON, removed subsidy and used the usual subsidy allocation for something, padded budget by €3 billion, did appointments every week, went on vacation 2 times after working so hard, almost invited Qatar investment, and bought Jeeps for all his supporters."

"This is all I can remember. I'm sure there is more, kindly add yours so we can see how successful he has been these past 12 months," he noted.

The federal government is scheduled to open a cutting-edge data center capable of storing up to 1.4 petabytes of data before May 29, 2024, when President Bola Tinubu completes one year in office.

Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Minister of the Interior, disclosed this during a meeting with a delegation from the National Union of Nigerian Associations in Italy (NUNAI), led by its President, Chief Rowland Ndukuba.
