Veteran Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has shared his thoughts on the ongoing debate surrounding Nigeria’s top music stars, naming Burna Boy as the leading Afrobeat act on the global scene.

The comment comes amid renewed conversations about the industry’s so-called “Big 3,” Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Davido, widely regarded as Nigeria’s most successful and influential music exports.

Speaking during an appearance on "Mic On Podcast" with Seun Okinbaloye, 2Baba acknowledged that each of the three artistes has produced music he enjoys.

However, he noted that Burna Boy currently stands out in terms of international influence and worldwide reach.

According to the music icon, while all three stars are performing exceptionally well, Burna Boy has edged ahead on the global stage, describing his current impact as being on “a different level.”
