Buhari, Jonathan, Saraki, FFK congratulate Obasanjo as he clocks 83

Congratulatory messages are beginning to pour in as former president of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, marks his 83rd birthday today.

Some of the notable Nigerians who have felicitated with Obasanjo include President Muhammadu Buhari, former President Goodluck Jonathan, former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, etc.

To celebrate with the former president, Buhari issued a statement saying, “As the former President celebrates the auspicious occasion, President Buhari prays that the almighty God will grant him longer life, good health and strength to keep serving the nation and the continent".

Goodluck Jonathan shared a goodwill message saying, “As a President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, you built bridges of love and unity across the land.

“As you celebrate, my family prays that God will bless you with more years of glory, honour and sound health.”

Femi Fani-Kayode who served as Minister in the Obasanjo administration also felicitated with his former boss: "I congratulate my father and leader President Olusegun Obasanjo on his 83rd birthday. Your legacy is unassailable and the contributions that you have made to the development of our country over the last 53 years are legion. May God continue to be with you and guide you, sir".

Bukola SSaraki wrote: "I am forever grateful for the opportunity Baba gave me at the beginning of my career in public service and have long since imbibed that principle of giving opportunities to a new generation of leaders who show potential to contribute to the growth and development of our nation".
