Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has warned former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, after his rant against Yorubas.
Lawal, in an interview with Channels TV's Politics Today programme, stated that Yorubas love to act as if they subdued those who supported them.
He said, "The problem with Yorubas is that when you support them and they win, they turn around to behave as if they have subdued you."
Reacting, Fani-Kayode reminded him of the support he got from a Yoruba man to attain the SGF position.
Fani-Kayode wrote, "I advise you to be very careful with your words and your characterisation of an entire race my dear brother Babachir Lawal. You know I have a soft spot for you but attacking the Yoruba race does not strengthen your case. It diminishes you, weakens your arguement and destroys your credibility. I seem to remember that it was a Yoruba man by the name of @officialABAT that nominated you for the position of Sec. to the Federal Government in @MBuhari's government. You appear to have forgotten about that. The Bible says "he who repays good with evil, evil shall never leave his house". Despite all I shall continue to pray for you. Shalom."
