Atiku's supporter mocks Peter Obi, calls him 'dash me ticket'

Aminin Dadiyata, a supporter of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has mocked former presidential candidate Peter Obi, calling him "dash me ticket".

Obi and Atiku, alongside other politicians, are currently vying for the presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Recently, Obi threatened on national TV that he would speak out again if he experienced the same thing with the African Democratic Congress (ADC), which made him leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2022.

Obi left the PDP to join the Labour Party after it was clear that he wasn't going to get the party's presidential ticket.

Atiku eventually got the PDP ticket, with backing from former governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal.

Both Atiku and Tambuwal are now in the ADC with Obi and are all vying to emerge as the party's presidential candidate.

Speaking during an Arise TV interview, Obi said, "I left PDP (2022) because people were not playing by the rules, it was transactional, and I could not be part of a transactional primary."

When reminded that he's now in ADC with the same transactional people that made him run away from the PDP, he said, "I’m in ADC with the same people, but we’re going through the same process. If that process is compromised again, I will speak out."

His statement has been seen by many as a plea to be handed the ADC ticket instead of contesting for it like every other politician in the party.

Reacting, one Atiku supporter, @DrealAdo, said on X, "HE Amaechi just said he will be at the forefront campaigning for whoever wins the ADC presidential primary. Atiku said the same. This is what 'dash me the ticket' and his bunch of entitled clowns can't say. We will campaign vigorously for you if you emerge as the candidate."

His post was reposted by an aide to Atiku, Abdul Rasheeth.

Not pleased with the post, some supporters of Obi stated that his support base, popularly known as Obidients, won't campaign for any politician other than Obi.

One @Ekpeikpaukot said, "Obidients won't campaign for anybody aside Peter Obi. We are not and will never be part of that prebendal and transactional politics. We know with PO, a new and better Nigeria is possible."
