A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has stated that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar cannot be trusted because of his history and track record.

This was as he advised anyone thinking Atiku will one day rule Nigeria to wake up from such a dream.

Igbokwe wrote on Facebook, "Anybody who is dreaming that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar will ever rule Nigeria cannot get it. I know enough history about him and his past. His track record is nothing to write home about. His public service dossier is full of scandals. He cannot be trusted."

Igbokwe also had harsh words to say about the African Democratic Congress (ADC), which Atiku and other politicians are using as a nest for their coalition of opposition leaders.

"ADC is floating in Nigeria. It does not exist. As a loyal party man for years now, ADC is like a brand new car without tyres, without engine and without body or driver. It will take 20 to 25 years to build a party that will win a presidential election in Nigeria," he said.
