Another PDP chieftain shot dead in Ebonyi

Oyibo Nwani, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party chieftain and agent in the governorship and House of Assembly elections in Ebonyi State is dead.

The Punch reports that he was shot dead by thugs who stormed his polling unit in the Onicha Local Government Area.

Details surrounding his death remain sketchy.

His death comes off the back of the demise of Mr Peter Nweke, the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ezza North Local Government Area

Nweke was beaten by hoodlums after he was threatened.

His death was confirmed by SP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, the state Police Public Relations’ Officer in a chat with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Abakaliki.
