The slain Ahmed Galuk was cautioned against making the trip to Imo State where he was killed, an exclusive report by The Cable has revealed.

The chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former special adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan was shot and killed on Monday, May 31 in Owerri, the Imo State capital on his way to the airport.

The Cable, citing another source said Galuk offered to go to Owerri for the public hearing on constitution review, despite the warning.

“We prevailed on him not to go, but he was hellbent on carrying out the assignment, despite the fact that consultants from the south-east turned down the assignment.” Gulak was shot dead by gunmen on Sunday, May 30, while returning to Abuja from Owerri."
