APC members defect to ADC; cites Tinubu's poor performance

Members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gada Local Government Area of Sokoto State have defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The defectees were welcomed by Senator Abubakar Gada, a key leader in the ADC coalition on Sunday, August 24.

Senator Gada indicated that the defection of the lot indicates the disappointment of the Nigerians towards the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration.

According to him, people in Sokoto East and across the country are struggling with insecurity and economic hardship, that have badly affected farming, jobs, and food supply.

“Our people are battling serious security threats that have destroyed farming, our main source of income. This has caused poverty, unemployment, and hunger in our communities,” he said.

He added that the growing number of people joining the ADC shows that citizens want change and are ready to support a party that can tackle Nigeria’s problems.

“Many Nigerians are coming to ADC because they believe in our mission to rescue the country. The APC government’s poor performance has forced people to look for hope elsewhere, and ADC is providing that option,” Gada said.
