A member of the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress, Tolu Bankole, has commended the successful conduct of the party’s just concluded National Convention.
Bankole, who is the APC National Leader for Persons With Disabilities, described the convention as a benchmark in organisation, coordination, and effective management.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Bankole expressed gratitude to party leaders and delegates for the renewed confidence in his leadership, pledging to deepen inclusion and strengthen the participation of Persons With Disabilities within the APC.
“I am deeply grateful to our party leaders and delegates for the renewed confidence in my leadership. I remain committed to deepening inclusion and strengthening the participation of Persons With Disabilities within our great party,” he said.
The APC chieftain noted that the convention demonstrated the unity and organisational strength of the party.
“This convention has showcased the unity, discipline, and organisational capacity of our party, reaffirming its position as Nigeria’s leading political platform,” he added.
Bankole also commended President Bola Tinubu for his leadership in governance and party affairs.
“I extend profound appreciation to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his exemplary leadership. His direction continues to stabilise and reposition the party for greater achievements,” he said.
He particularly praised the role of Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, in managing the convention venue, describing his efforts as exceptional.
“The handling of the convention venue by Governor Dapo Abiodun was a masterclass in planning, execution, and attention to detail. The seamless coordination and operational efficiency reflected a rare level of competence and dedication,” Bankole said.
Quoting the President, he added, “As President Bola Ahmed Tinubu rightly stated, ‘I also wish to recognise Governor Dapo Abiodun, Chairman of the APC National Convention Venue Sub-Committee, for his remarkable commitment, including the funding and delivery of the venue setup.’”
Bankole said the governor’s performance further reinforced his reputation for excellence.
“Governor Abiodun has once again proven himself as one of the very best in event coordination and organisational leadership,” he said.
He also commended APC governors, members of the convention planning committees, national delegates, and party faithful for their contributions to the success of the exercise.
“I commend all APC governors, members of the planning committees, delegates, and party faithful for their commitment. I also appreciate the professionalism of security officers, engineers, organisers, ushers, and the media in delivering a seamless exercise,” he said.
Bankole congratulated newly elected party officials and urged them to build on the gains of the convention.
“I congratulate all newly elected officials and urge them to strengthen internal cohesion and build on the gains recorded at the convention,” he said.
He called on party members across the country to remain committed as they return to their constituencies.
“As we return to our constituencies, there is a need for renewed commitment to mobilisation and ensuring victories for the APC in forthcoming elections,” he stated.
He emphasised the importance of peaceful primaries ahead of future elections.
“Rancour-free primaries remain essential as we prepare for elections nationwide. Unity, transparency, and fairness must guide all our processes,” he said.
Bankole reaffirmed his commitment to advocating for Persons with Disabilities within the party.
“I remain committed to advancing the interests of Persons With Disabilities and ensuring their voices remain integral to national development,” he added.
