APC Chieftain reacts as Peter Obi calls Afenifere leader, Pa Adebanjo 'Daddy'

Bayo Onanuga, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a media aide to President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu has taken a swipe at Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party.

This comes after Obi referred to Afenifere leader, Pa Adebanjo as 'Daddy' in his birthday wish.

Obi had taken to social media to celebrate Pa Adebanjo on his 95th birthday on Monday, April 10.

In his congratulatory message, Obi referred to Adebanjo as ‘’Daddy.'' Recall that Obi trended a few weeks ago when a purported telephone conversation of him and the senior pastor of Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo went viral. Obi was mocked on social media for referring to the clergyman as ‘’Daddy''. He however denied the accusations.

Reacting to Obi's congratulatory message, Onanuga wrote; "Peter Obi can't just stop saying 'Daddy'. Is it a curse?"

The word "Daddy" became popular in Nigeria's political space after the former Anambra governor was heard in leaked audio describing Bishop Oyedepo as one.
