The history of football will not be complete if the little boy from Madeira, Portugal, Cristiano Ronaldo, is not mentioned as one of the greatest of all time.

Alongside Lionel Messi, for nearly two decades, they have stayed at the top of their game and rewrote a lot of football history and won a combined 12 Ballon d'Or.

Ronaldo has played for the biggest clubs in England, Italy and Spain - Manchester United, Juventus and Real Madrid, having also played for one of the best clubs in his hometown of Portugal, Sporting Lisbon.

He has played under some of the greatest football managers of all time, including Jose Mourinho, whom he could work with again after Corriere dello Sport reported that the Special One has received an offer worth £60m per year to move to Saudi Arabia.

According to Independent, Ronaldo and former United boss Sir Alex Ferguson share a father-son relationship.

The Scot brought him to the limelight when he signed him to England. He scored 118 goals and 63 assists in 292 games under Ferguson during the 38-year-old's first spell in Manchester, but he opted for his compatriot, Mourinho, as the best he had ever worked with, as reported by Sportskeeda.

The two worked together in Madrid and Ronaldo produced staggering numbers. He played 164 games and scored 168 goals and 49 assists.
