Uganda head coach Paul Put has urged his side to approach their crucial encounter against Nigeria at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with confidence.
The Cranes will face the Super Eagles in their final group clash on Tuesday, December 30, at the Complexe Sportif de Fes.
Tunisia and Tanzania will also lock horns in the other Group C encounter simultaneously.
One team will join the Super Eagles in securing automatic qualification to the round of 16.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Cranes head coach Paul Put believes his side can beat the Super Eagles if they approach the game with confidence.
The Belgian tactician, however, acknowledged the quality the Super Eagles’ team possesses.
“We are facing a very good team, finalists in the last African edition, and they have shown their quality again. I hope the players will give their very best tomorrow. It will be hard, it will be difficult, but at this level, everything is still possible,” he told CAF Online.
“To face Nigeria, you have to come off the pitch with confidence, because if you are not confident, it becomes very complicated.
“I think the players will perform at the same level they showed against Tanzania. We go into this game with full confidence.”
The match will kick off at 5:00 pm local time.
