5,000 drones acquire for lagosians safety- Osanyintolu

To ensure the safety of lives on Lagos waterways, not less than 5,000 drones have been purchased by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency for search and rescue operations.

The drones are limited to four jetties including: Lekki, Ijegun-Egba, Ikorodu and Ilaje-Bariga.

Director-General of LASEMA, Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu revealed this while the Marine Rescue Units were unveiled in the four Jetties in the State.

Osanyintolu words: "Heavy and light equipment had been purchased and deployed to the units including state of the art Jet Skis, Rescue Boats, Ambulance Boats, and Drones for surveillance."

A test-run of the facility at Lekki jetty was showcased afterwards.
