45-year-old man commits suicide in Osun

Tayo Olatunji, a 45-year-old man has allegedly committed suicide on a tree in a nearby swamp at the Oke-Opo area of Ilesa, Osun State.

His remains were found after he was reported missing on Sunday, January 31, 2021.

According to reports, the professional stylist left home without informing his pregnant wife.

A police source stated that they were alerted by residents of the Oke-Opo area, after which investigations began.

The corpse of the deceased has been removed by some traditionalists who performed some rituals before cutting the body loose from the rope with which he hanged himself.

The Public Relations Officer of Osun State police command, Yemisi Opalola confirmed the incident.

Opalola revealed that the family had earlier reported the missing case of the deceased to the police.

Opalola added that “The police has started investigating the cause of his death. Sometimes, not all the cases of suicide are really what people think”
