Popular Nigerian comedian Otaghware Onodjayeke, widely known as I Go Save, has weighed in on the country's political landscape ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a post shared on his Instagram story, the comedian described the contest as a battle between ordinary Nigerians and those he calls "the paid poor."

"2027 election is the poor VS the paid poor!!! Not business as usual.. Not business as usual," he wrote.

He did not explain what he meant by "the paid poor" or name any candidate or party.

However, the phrase appears to point to Nigerians who are financially struggling but are allegedly influenced by cash or material inducements during elections.

The comedian has not yet elaborated on the post, which comes as political activity ramps up ahead of the polls, now scheduled for January 2027.
