Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun who is widely known as Wizkid, was born on July 16, 1990, in Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria. He is an Afrobeats singer and songwriter known for his hit songs and collaborations with international artistes.

Wizkid has won several awards including the Grammy Award for Best Music Video and several Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards. He has also faced controversies such as paternity disputes and social media conflicts. He is managed by his baby mama, Jada Pollock.

Wizkid broke into the spotlight in 2009 when he featured on rapper M.I Abaga’s song, “Fast Cars”. Since then, Wizkid has been making waves and collaborating with international performers like Beyonce, Wale, Drake and Tyga.

He is the first African to bag seven Billboard nominations and also first Nigerian artiste to win three Billboard awards, he also has a Grammy award to his name.

Wizkid welcomed his first child, a son, Boluwatife, with his then-teenage girlfriend, Oluwanishola Ogudu, in 2012. In 2017, U.S.-based Guinean Binta Diamond Diallo bore the singer's second son, Ayodeji Jnr months before his manager and baby mama Jada Pollock welcomed their first child, Zion. In 2022, Wizkid and Jada welcomed their second child.
