Nigerian afrobeats diva and songstress Tiwatope Savage, popularly known as Tiwa Savage, was born on February 5, 1980, in Isale Eko, Lagos State. She is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, a mother of one and actress known for her contributions to the afrobeats genre.

Tiwa Savage has won several awards including the MTV Africa Music Award for Best Female and the City People Entertainment Award for Female Musician of the Year. She has also been involved in controversies such as marriage troubles, social media drama and leaking of her sex tape which saw her being dragged and trolled by social media users in 2022.

Throughout her long career, she has received numerous nominations and accolades. Her most notable victories were the "Best Female" MTV Africa Music Award (2014), the "Headies" awards (2012) and (2014), the "Channel O Music Video Awards" (2012), and the "Nigeria Music Video Award" (2012) for "Best Highlife." In 2014, she received another nomination for a "BET Award" for "Best International Act: Africa." She also performed at the coronation concert of King Charles III in 2023.

The popular songstress is a mother of one. She had her son, Jamil Balogun from her failed marriage with Tunji Balogun.
