Josephine Otabor popularly known as Phyna is a Nigerian actress, model, hype woman, entertainer and a reality TV star born on June 2, 1997 in Lagos but she hails from Ekpon, Edo state. She is the first born of a family of 6. Phyna came into the limelight after winning the prestigious reality show Big Brother Naija season 7.

For Phyna, growing up wasn't exactly easy. She was raised by a transporter father and a small-time trader mother, and her life has been filled with hustles, financial hardships, and emotional strain.

She persevered through everything life threw at her to reach her current level of success because of her unwavering sense of purpose.

Phyna attended Federal Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo State, for her postsecondary education after completing her secondary schooling there. She attended the school to study engineering and received good grades upon graduation.

Phyna, also known as "The Hype Priestess of Nigeria," is one of the most sought-after hype ladies in Nigeria.

She started her career while attending Auchi Polytechnic, and after graduating, she has hyped at practically all of Abuja's major clubs, including Magic City and Moscow Underground, to name a few.

Phyna emerged victor of the esteemed BBNaija season seven in 2022. In the last eviction episode, she defeated her other housemates to win the N100 million prize that was up for grabs. With her triumph, Phyna becomes the second female to win the top prize on BBNaija.
