Paul Onuachu, born on May 28, 1994, in Owerri, Nigeria, is a prolific striker who has made a significant impact in the world of football with his imposing presence, goal-scoring prowess, and physical attributes. Onuachu's journey to professional football began in Denmark, where he joined the youth academy of FC Ebedei, a football club renowned for nurturing young talents. His performances at the academy attracted attention, leading to his move to Danish club FC Midtjylland in 2012.

Upon joining FC Midtjylland, Onuachu quickly adapted to the European style of play and demonstrated his goal-scoring abilities. Standing at an impressive 6 feet 7 inches (2.01 meters), his height and strength make him a formidable force in aerial duels and a constant threat in the opposition's penalty area. Onuachu's goal-scoring exploits in Denmark earned him recognition and paved the way for his inclusion in the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles.

While at Midtjylland, Onuachu went on a short loan spell at Venjle before securing a permanent move to KRC Genk in August 2019 where he played the best football of his career. After an explosive three-and-a-half-season spell at Genk, Onuachu moved to English Premier League side Southampton in February 2023 but failed to replicate his remarkable form in the Belgian league leading to a loan move to Trabzonspor in September 2023.

Paul Onuachu made his debut for the Nigeria national team in 2019 and has since become a key figure in the Super Eagles squad. His ability to find the back of the net with both feet and his head has contributed significantly to Nigeria's offensive firepower. Notably, Onuachu played a crucial role in Nigeria's qualification for major tournaments, showcasing his skills on the continental and global stages, including the Africa Cup of Nations and FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
