Nkem Owoh popularly called “Ukwa” or “Osuofia” is a seasoned Nigerian actor born on 7 February 1958 in Enugu State, Nigeria. In 2008, he won the Africa Movie Academy Awards for "Best Actor in a Leading Role" for his role in the Nigerian film, "Stronger than Pain”

Nkem Owoh studied Engineering at the University of Ibadan. During his University days, he began acting in various television and film productions.

He is also known for performing the song "I Go Chop Your Dollar". The song was featured in the film The Master in which Owoh plays the role of a scammer. He has been featured in several Nigerian movies like; Things Fall Apart, Circle of Doom, Fake Doctor, Osuofia in London 1 & 2, My Village People, Chief Daddy, and others.

Nkem Owoh and his wife, Ngozi Nkem Owoh, have been married since 1998. She hails from Amagu Village, Udi Town, Enugu State Nigeria.
