Asisat Oshoala, born on October 9, 1994, in Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria, is a prominent figure in women's football especially in African football and globally. Growing up in a modest household, Oshoala's passion for football was ignited at a young age. She honed her skills on the streets of Lagos, where she showcased her raw talent, catching the eye of local coaches and scouts.

Her breakthrough came in 2009 when she represented Nigeria at the U-20 level in the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, where she dazzled spectators with her exceptional speed, agility, and goal-scoring prowess. This performance marked the beginning of a remarkable career that would see Oshoala rise to prominence on the international stage.

Oshoala's meteoric rise continued as she transitioned to the senior national team, the Super Falcons, where she cemented her status as one of Africa's most electrifying footballers. She played a pivotal role in Nigeria's success in various international tournaments, including the Africa Women's Cup of Nations, where she consistently showcased her talent and determination.
