Dumebi Kachikwu is a Nigerian businessman, media mogul and politician who was born on December 20, 1971, in Delta State. He is the founder of Roots Television and the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
He attended University of Benin Demonstration Secondary School in Benin City, Nigeria.
His parents are the late Justice Francis Okafor Kachikwu and Barr. Mrs. Josephine Ada Kachikwu.
Kachikwu has been married twice, He first married Somachi Chikwe in 2001, whom he later divorced, and then got married to Josephine Ikeme Kachikwu on June 15, 2011, in Abuja. Dumebi is blessed with six children.
In June 2022, Kachikwu announced his candidacy for president of Nigeria under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and defeated Kingsley Moghalu to become the party’s flag bearer.
