Nigerian accountant and finance professional, Aishah Ndanusa Ahmad was born on 26th October 1976.

She is a former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria who was appointed on 6 October 2017. She was confirmed by the Nigerian Senate on 22 March 2018.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Abuja and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Cranfield School of Management in the United Kingdom.

Additionally, she is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), showcasing her deep knowledge and expertise in the field.

As the Deputy Governor of CBN, she has played a pivotal role in shaping monetary policy and advancing financial inclusion in the country.

On 6 December 2022, Ahmad was reappointed deputy governor for a second five-year term and subsequently confirmed by the Senate on 14 December 2022.

However, on 15 September 2023, she was removed from office by President Bola Tinubu alongside three other deputy governors for alleged corporate governance failures at the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Ahmad's career in finance spans over two decades, during which she has held various leadership positions in both the public and private sectors. Prior to her appointment as Deputy Governor of the CBN in 2018, she served as Executive Director at Diamond Bank PLC, where she played a key role in the bank's strategic initiatives and risk management functions.

Ahmad has received numerous awards and honors for her achievements, including recognition as one of the Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD) under 40, highlighting her impact and influence in the global financial community.
