Super Eagles forward, Terem Moffi, has addressed the clash with Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe during their Ligue 1 tie, Soccernet.ng reports.
In the match, both players scored two goals each, but Moffi’s celebration after making it 3-1 for the visitors angered Mbappe, leading to a confrontation.
The Nigerian forward’s exuberant celebration, which included removing his shirt and hoisting it in front of the Paris fans, led to a confrontation with the French star, resulting in Moffi receiving a yellow card.
In an interview with Soccernet.ng’s managing editor, Lolade Adewuyi, Moffi acknowledged the past event, recognizing that emotions can run high in such competitive games.
“Yeah, obviously, I had a good game. Whatever happened is now in the past. I would not like to speak about it, but yeah, you know in games like this, sometimes you lose your temper; shit happens,” Moffi said.
Since the clash with PSG, the Nigerian forward has not found the back of the net. He will be eager to continue his goal-scoring form at the national level when the Super Eagles face Lesotho and Zimbabwe in their upcoming matches.
