Serie A side Como have also inquired about Getafe midfielder, Chrisantus Uche, after the Nigerian midfielder turned down a move to English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

Uche turned down a move to Wolves despite the Premier League club agreeing a fee with Getafe. Wolves were confident of sealing a deal worth around €20m for the midfielder, with plans already in place for him to undergo a medical in England.

But while Uche has previously spoken of his ambition to play in the Premier League, the deal was called off as Wolves could not reach personal terms with the player.

With Wolves out of the picture, the 22-year-old still has offers with Como now in the race as well.

AC Milan have also been in contact with Getafe to discuss the conditions of a potential deal, though no formal bid has yet been made. It remains to be seen if they will having agreed to sign Christopher Nkunku from Chelsea.

Como are led by former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fàbregas and they were promoted to the Italian topflight last season.

The club finished in 10th during their return last season and they began this season with a 2-0 win over Lazio last week.

Like Como, Uche enjoyed a promising debut season in La Liga last term, registering four goals and six assists in 33 appearances for Getafe.

He picked up the season from where he left off, scoring a goal and bagging an assist in their league opener against Celta Vigo.

Another EPL side, Crystal Palace are also weighing up a late move as per the Daily Mail, with the Eagles searching for attacking reinforcements following Eberechi Eze’s departure to Arsenal.
