Barcelona’s new manager, Hansi Flick has expressed his excitement about joining the La Liga giants.
Speaking after his official announcement, the 59-year-old cited a shared vision of possession-based, high-quality football with the Catalan club as part of the reasons why he joined the Barca.
The German coach officially signed a two-year deal with the Blaugranas on Wednesday, May 29.
Speaking after his appointment, Flick, who replaced Xavi Hernandez, said he was proud to be at Barcelona.
“I’m proud to be at Barça; it’s a wonderful and incredible club,” Flick stated.
He emphasized his commitment to developing talent from Barcelona’s renowned academy, La Masia, and highlighted the importance of nurturing young players.
“Barça has La Masia, one of the best academies in the world. Our mission is to improve all the players,” Flick added.
