Super Eagles to face Guinea in a pre-AFCON friendly

In preparation for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, the Super Eagles are set to engage in a friendly match against Guinea, replacing Burkina Faso as the initially considered opponent.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has successfully negotiated with the Guinean counterpart for this warm-up encounter, scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on January 9.

Both the Super Eagles and the Syli Nationale of Guinea are utilizing Abu Dhabi as their training base ahead of the upcoming competition.

Following the friendly, the Super Eagles will return to Nigeria before heading to Abidjan.

The official tournament kicks off for the Super Eagles with a match against Equatorial Guinea on Sunday, January 14.
