Victor Osimhen has said it is a privilege for the players to wear the badge of Nigeria and represent the Super Eagles.

The Napoli forward in the short clip that has since gone viral said "he will be lying" if he says he is not proud of the Super Eagles.

Making reference to other teammates Alex Iwobi and Joe Aribo, he said the players give their all when they are called to represent the team.

He said further that "We are ready to die for the batch".

"If I tell you I am not proud of this Super Eagles team, I am lying. I am lying. Especially the guys who were born in Europe. Look at how Iwobi is playing and compare it to the way he plays for Everton, the same! The same passion and everything. See Aribo, see Bright, all of us have the passion to win," he said.

"We are ready to die for the batch. It is not easy and it is a privilege to wear the Super Eagles jersey. It is not everyone's right but privileged and the grace of God. All of us put passion into this job."

"Why do you think Iheanacho is called Senior Man Kels."

Long-time rivals Nigeria and South Africa will clash in Group C, which includes Zimbabwe, whose FIFA ban for government interference in football was lifted two days ago.
