A video of Lionel Messi trying to speak Chinese is going viral – and it's incredible viewing from start to finish.

The 35-year-old announced his decision to join Inter Miami on a free transfer following his Paris Saint-Germain exit, opting for a new challenge instead of re-joining former club Barcelona.

The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner is currently on international duty with Argentina in China, where the Albiceleste locked horns against Australia in a friendly on Thursday.

As reported by Sportskeeda, Messi took time off his busy schedule in Beijing to grant a sit-down interview with Titan Sports in Beijing.

During the interview, the TV presenter tried to teach the Argentine phenom to speak the language spoken by over 730 million Chinese people.

A video of the interview has emerged, and it's a great watch.

According to Marca, Messi was dared to speak in Chinese with some phrases like "Duan Wu An Kang", which means "happy dragon boat festival."

The Barcelona legend added: "Whenever we come to China the people have always treated us very well. These days that we were here with the national team, there are people waiting for us when we leave for training, at the stadium. It's impressive how they follow us, so I'm very grateful."

World champions Argentina unleashed "Messimania" in China during their tour to the Asian country, and it resulted in their triumph over Australia in a friendly game.

As reported by GOAL, Lionel Messi notched the fastest goal of his career, opening the scoring after 79 seconds, while Germán Pezzella netted the second to secure a 2-0 win over the Socceroos on Thursday.
