PSG star blast fans for booing Messi

Paris Sain-Germain midfielder Renato Sanchez has lashed out at the club's supporters for the unfair treatment meted out to Lionel Messi.

Messi, who returned to the PSG team after serving his suspension following his unauthorized visit to Saudi Arabia was booed by the Parc de Princes crowd during PSG's Ligue 1 fixture against Ajaccio.

The World Cup winner was the target of boos and jeers during halftime of the French champion's 5-0 thrashing of the relegation-bound side.

Messi was also booed anytime he got a touch of the ball during the game.

Leo's PSG teammate described the incident as a sad situation for the former Barcelona man and the club.

“It is a bit of a weird situation. It is hard for Messi, for the team, and for the club,” Sanches said via Get French Football News.

It is now becoming increasingly likely that the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner will exit the club at the end of the current campaign with Al-Hilal and Barcelona lurking around for his signature.
