Lionel Messi continues to justify why he is arguably the greatest player to ever kick the rounded leather object.

The 35-year-old World Cup winner marked his return to club football with a goal after guiding La Albiceleste to glory in Qatar.

Paris Saint-Germain beat Angers 2-0 in the Ligue 1 on Wednesday night with a goal each from Hugo Ekitike and Lionel Messi as the French champions cruised to a comfortable win at the Parc des Princes.

Despite finding the back of the net on his return to the playing surface after completing football in Qatar, it was Messi's dazzling ball control during warm-up that caught the eye of fans.

The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner effortlessly controlled an air ball with his superb left-foot leaving fans in awe.
