Nigeria's senior men's team will take on Algeria's B side on Friday, September 23 in a test game, according to reports.

The team is currently camping in Constantine, Algeria as they prepare for next week's friendly against the Desert Foxes.

The Media Officer of the Super Eagles, Babafemi Raji disclosed this explaining that the game is meant to keep the team in shape ahead of their meeting with Algeria's first team on September 27.

The game will also form part of Algeria team B's preparation for next year's African Nations Championships.

Mr. Babafemi Raji further noted that the test game will not be recognised by football's governing body, FIFA.

“This game will only be a test game and it won’t be recognised by FIFA,” he said.

He, however, noted that the Super Eagles clash against the Desert Foxes first team on September 27 is recognised by FIFA.

Wilfred Ndidi is the latest Super Eagles star to be ruled out of the friendly due to injury.

The NFF reported on Thursday, September 22 that the Leicester City midfielder has returned to England.
