Everton midfielder Alex Iwobi has been nominated for Premier League player of the month of September.

The Nigerian international was nominated alongside Manchester City's Kelvin De Bruyne, Marcus Rashford of Manchester United, Philip Billing of Bournemouth, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg of Spurs, and Aston Villa's Jacob Ramsey.

The 26-year-old has been outstanding for the Toffees helping them to their first win of the season against West Ham United last weekend.

The former Arsenal man has provided two assists in his last two Premier League outings for Frank Lampard's side coupled with a string of impressive performances in the central midfield area.

Iwobi assisted Anthony Gordon in Everton's 1-1 draw away to Leeds United at Elland Road on Match Day 5.

He also assisted Neal Maupay to score the only goal of the game against the Hammers last weekend as the Merseyside Blue recorded their first PL win of the season. Iwobi was voted Player of the Match after the game.

The in-form midfielder is currently at the Super Eagles camp in Constantine, Algeria, as the Super Eagles prepare to face the Desert Warriors of Algeria on September 27.
