Coach Imama Amapakabo has blamed his players for the derby defeat against Enyimba of Aba.

Abia Warriors hosted their bitter rivals in a derby match at Okigwe stadium on Thursday and at the end of hostility, it was the People’s Elephants who ran away with another win.

Enyimba won the game, courtesy of Victor Mbaoma’s 11th minute goal and coach Imama Amapakabo didn’t hold anything back, when addressing the performance of his players.

“Good game and I think both were able to express themselves, but it was unfortunate that we couldn’t take our chances.”
” They had two chances and kudos to their striker, he buried one. we hard seven to eight chances and we couldn’t bury any.”
“So I think we were not clinical enough in the front of goal. So when a team miss a lot of chances, then it becomes a challenge.” He said after the game.

Abia Warriors has now suffered back to back league defeat in the space of four days. They lost 2-1 to Sunshine Stars in Akure, before losing 1-0 to Enyimba.
