Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo will be part of the team that will face Benin and Lesotho in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on March 27 and 30 respectively.

There have been growing fears on the possibility of some of the foreign-based players to hour the AFCON qualifiers after some European clubs opted not to release their players due to Covid-19 travel ban that will put their players at risk of been quarantined and miss some key matches.

Recall that on Wednesday, Nantes announced that Super Eagles winger, Simone Moses won’t be released for the games before Umar Sadiq’s FC Almeria also confirmed that they won’t allow him to honour the invitation due to the aforementioned below.

However, the good news coming from Spain has it that Leganes coach Asier Garitano has confirmed that Omeruo will be released for the games.

Garitano made this known at a press conference ahead of his side’s match against CF Fuenlabrada in Butarque on Saturday (today).
