Super Eagles defender, Wilfred Ndidi was the star of his side after his performance saw Leicester City beat West Bromwich Albion on Sunday to begin their English Premier League campaign on a winning note.

Ndidi, who was deployed as a centre-back played a key role in the away side keeping a clean sheet in the game.

The Nigeria international was in action for 90 minutes in the highly entertaining contest, Complete Sports reported.

His international teammate, Kelechi Iheanacho was an unused substitute for Leicester City.

West Brom paraded Semi Ajayi for the entire duration of the game.

Ajayi was booked for a rough tackle in the 63rd minute.

Debutant Timothy Castagne opened scoring for Leicester City in the 56th minute before Jamie Vardy added two more goals from the spot in the 74th and 84th minutes.
