Zaidu Sanusi poised for 90th Porto appearance

Nigerian defender Zaidu Sanusi is set for his 90th appearance for FC Porto.

The 25-year-old has so far played 89 matches for the Portuguese giants since joining the club from Portuguese second division Santa Clara in January 2020.

Sanusi has managed 5 goals and an assist in the 89 appearances playing in the left-back role.

The Nigerian international has made 54 league appearances, 18 UEFA Champions League appearances, four appearances in the Europa League, and one in the Allianz Cup.

In addition, he has made 10 appearances in the Cup of Portugal and two in the Portuguese Super Cup.

Sanusi was part of the Super Eagles players who were invited for the Algeria friendly on Tuesday, September 27.

He will reach a milestone of 90 appearances if he features for FC Porto against Braga on Friday, September 30.
