'You done dey speak German?' - Laughs as Osimhen teases Boniface as they meet for the first time

Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen made a comment in jest when he met fellow forward, Victor Boniface in a team bus in Uyo.

Osimhen who is the star man of the Super Eagles asked Boniface if he (Boniface) already speaks German following his move to Bayer Leverkusen.

"See this man, you get abi you don dey speak German?" Osimhen asked to the amusement of other team mates.

Boniface has had a smooth start to life in the Bundesliga, scoring scored four goals and assisted two more for Bayer Leverkusen in three matches.

His fine form led to his nomination for the Bundesliga Player of the Month for August and his first-ever call to the Nigeria national team, Super Eagles.

The 22-year-old joined Bayer from Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise for around 22 million pounds.

Osimhen, on the otherhand, has been rewarded for his fine form last season as he was shortlisted for the Ballon d'Or.

Osimhen had a remarkable campaign with Napoli last season, scoring 31 goals in 39 appearances. The 24-year-old Nigeria hitman scored 26 Serie A goals in the run-up to Napoli’s Scudetto triumph, winning the Capocannoniere in the process.

He also scored five goals to help the Partenopeans to their first-ever quarterfinal finish in the UEFA Champions League.

Last season was his best campaign by far, as he had never scored more than 18 goals in previous seasons.
