Abia Warriors striker, Hammed Yakubu is confident his side can be champions of the upcoming Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) following the latest additions to their squad.

Speaking in an exclusive chat wit Brila.net, Yakubu noted that the his side is getting stronger and good to challenge for the league or worse case a continental ticket.

This comes after the Aba based club unveiled former Flying Eagles goalkeeper, Ojo Olorunleke over the weekend having secured the signatures of Nzube Anaezembe from Rivers united, former Enyimba player Markson Ojobo and Vincent Edafe from Dakada FC, Brila.net reports.

“With these signings, I hope something comes out next season that we don’t well in the league to carry the league or we get a continental ticket. I believe we are good enough to carry the league with the players we get and the coach as well. He is the best coach in Nigeria league.”
