World Cup: Ghanaians wish Osimhen was a Black Star as Otto Addo names 26-man squad

Following Victor Osimhen's goal against Udinese on Saturday, November 12, some fans of Ghana Black Stars took to social media to hail the Nigerian international's blistering form.

Osimhen's name has been on the lips of many football lovers including rival fans following his remarkable performance for the Naples-based team.

The 23-year-old scored his 10th goal of the season and his 9th in the Serie A last Saturday as Luciano Spalletti's side continued their astonishing unbeaten run in the Italian Serie A before the World Cup break.

Osimhen's exploit has not only caught the eye of Nigeria and Napoli fans but also a section of Ghanaian football enthusiasts who took to social media to jokingly ask if they can borrow the Super Eagles striker for their World Cup campaign.

Check out some reactions below:

_@Ernest Ansong said, “One of the best strikers in the world for the moment”

_@Adarkwah Christian wrote, “They can loan him to Ghana”

_@Collins Van Dilute wrote, “Can't we hire him to be part of our squad in the black stars”

_@Joe Cudjoe said, “We should talk to Naija and send am to Qatar.. What are friends for?”

_@Emmanuel Joel added, “Best player in Africa ❤️❤️”

_@Sadick Dera: “How I wished countries can borrow players from different countries for the World Cup, GHA should have gone for this guy to replace the decorated Ayew”

_@Oheneba Emmanuel: “They should loan him to Ghana. In fact, we love him in Ghana”

_@Nana Kwame Amo Apamba said, “I love this guy and I wish he end up in one of the top Spanish club one day.”

Nigeria lost the World Cup ticket to Ghana back in March after failing to beat their rivals at the National Stadium in Abuja in the second leg after the first leg ended goalless in Kumasi.

The tie ended 1-1 but Ghana progressed to the finals via the away goal rule.

Osimhen had his goal in the second leg ruled out for offside after a VAR review. The Black Stars have been drawn in Group H with Portugal, South Korea, and Uruguay.
