English Premier League match official, Mike Dean has revealed that Mourinho would always come to him after every game he officiates regardless of whether he won the game or not.

Dean has been the officiating referee in several EPL games involving sides managed by Mourinho who now manages Tottenham Hotspur.

“If they want to ask a question, they always come in,” Dean told That Peter Crouch Podcast.

“Mourinho comes in win, lose or draw. He always comes in and puts his point across, good or bad.

“I’ve had a few managers come in who put their point across and you’re trying to put your point across.

“If you’ve made a wrong decision and you try and justify it, as I used to years ago, but sometimes you hold your hands up and say ‘I’ve seen it, I’ve dropped a bollock, end of.’

“You can’t change it in the changing room.”

In 2014, Mourinho mocked Dean and Premier League match official Mike Riley following a 2-1 loss his Chelsea side suffered at the hands of Sunderland.

“Congratulations to Mike Dean because he made a fantastic performance,” a hot-headed Mourinho said.

“And congratulations to Mike Riley because what they did during the season was fantastic for the way the championship is going.

“So congratulations to all of them and I have nothing more to say. I'm sorry.”
